How can you tell who has Fibro in a Zombie Apocalypse?

They're zombies.

Maybe this joke should have been: In a zombie apocalypse how can you tell the difference between the zombies and the Fibro's? You don't have to:

Fibro's are the first one's getting bit by the zombies so. Fibro=zombie

Do you think a Fibro zombie would be slower or would it be faster since it can't feel pain?

Zombie life is starting to have some appeal.

Whoa!

You know what I don't get? Why when I'm thinking to myself -ok don't spill this cup full of coffee, and my body responds by hurling the coffee across the room. Yeah subtle brain, real subtle.

You know what else I love... When you respond fast enough to theoretically catch the cup you just tossed only to bitch slap it instead of actually catching it, which results in coffee not just on the floor but the ceiling too.

Wtf.

Upcoming Meeting Reminder: 2.2.2016

Hey everyone, we have an awesome meeting planned this month! Two guest speakers Nic Baker and Andy Miles from the newly opened Khoo Wellness Center will be coming to talk with us. They are very active in the research and treatment of Fibromyalgia and are eager to help expand resources for our Fibromyalgia community. Together we have come up with a few ideas and are excited to share them with you at the meeting.

Nic has starting his own Fibromyalgia support blog at fibrocircle.com and has a unique and refreshing perspective, his team has been working hard on a diagnostic tool and they are beta testing a new fibro quiz which he has published here: Fibro Circle: The Quiz

We are looking for some feedback at this meeting so we appreciate everyone who can make it this month.

See you there!

Upcoming Meeting Reminder: 11.3.15

Happy Halloween! Don't forget our group is meeting this Tuesday November 3rd from 1-3 PM at the North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center.

I have heard a lot of stories recently about being misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia or people believing their symptoms can't possibly be just that. Trick or treat? So this month I am going to put together a compare and contrast so that you can understand the differences between these disorders.

If there is anything you would like to share please bring it to group or email me about it.

See you on Tuesday!

A Sentence Should Never Start With

I know it's a world filled with verbal land mines, things you should and shouldn't say and you can't always know what's right and what's not. I would say the basic rule is to try not to be insensitive. What that means to me is, listen. People will give you loads of clues when you are headed toward those mines, if you don't have any problem with gore then by all means go right on ahead.

Upcoming Meeting Reminder: 10.6.15

Hey all just a quick reminder for our upcoming meeting on Tuesday October the 6th from 1–3 PM. at the North Domingo Baca Multicultural Center. This month we are having another guest speaker; Dr. Alissa Albers with Well Balanced Chiropractic. You have probably heard me talk about her in previous meetings, she's going to give us some information on Atlas Orthogonal work and how it relates to chronic pain.

Also, the renewal for our site and domain came through this week and Paula and I were a little shy so if you can give a donation this month it would be much appreciated.

Hope to see you all there!
