Meeting Minutes: 4.5.2016 Part Two

I thought it best to separate the meeting minutes into two parts.

For those of you who weren't able to make it we had a new member/guest speaker. His name is Brandon Bailey and he is with Bhang Chocolatiers.

Brandon Bailey with Bhang:  Brandon@chocolatecartel.com

Bhang provides high quality CBD products in the form of chocolates, sprays, and vapes. He is an excellent resource to have if you are beginning CBD treatment. He would also like everyone to know he is available for consults on what might work best for you. Bhang does not have a physical storefront so their business practice is to deliver product directly to you.

The benefits of this kind of service is personalization and discretion for those of you who feel uncomfortable going into CBD dispensaries. Remember CBD is not a THC product and is completely legal. All of their product goes through extensive testing.

Brandon also talked to us a bit about obtaining your medical cannabis card. He told us about a practitioner here in New Mexico that supports this process and is way more patient oriented than a lot of the other card operations. She helps patients get help without charging exorbitant fees.

Here is her information:

Lori Frohe. APRN, CNP, PMHNP-BC  Mindful Medicine Behavioral Healthcare  505.459.7305

Here are a couple of articles I found mentioning her:

I hate that all of this still feels a bit hush hush and because of my opioid contract I am not able to try medical cannabis, I have no experience with cannabis and so I lack information on how to use it for pain management, these are two great resources to help you navigate should you decide it is an appropriate treatment option. I very strongly believe in the medical properties of cannabis and wish it was a more recognized and readily available treatment. Progress happens in stages, stick up for your right to appropriate medical treatments and maybe we'll see some change.
